Multiplayer 1st person flightsimulation software for
win9x / winXP / win2000 / vista
Red Baron 3D flight simulation game from Sierra; it allows up to 50 people to fly / fight simultaneously
- everything works. ( tested from suse 10.1 upto 11.1 )
- plays ( single play and multi player )
(tested and used from suse 10.1 upto 11.0 )
glide emulator (emulating a 3dfx voodoo graphics card ) for much better graphics works well, too.

What does not
In fact, this is a generic problem with wine :
joystick buttons are not caught and discarded by a button => keyboard stroke mapping program, such as autohotkey. wine passes the button presses through to the program anyway.
(allthough the keyboard strokes get passed through, authotkey works very well)
in RB3d this is irritating, because several buttons are hardcoded into the program.
button nr 3 in particular, drops a bomb. so you kill yourself, whenever you hit that one, standing on the runway......
A windows utility for this is available, Auto hotkey.
