This was the last release made available through Shaw Power Technologies, Inc. PSS/E is now owned by Siemens AG, and they have released several versions, the last being 30.3.2 (Jan 2, 2007)
It's the standard PSS/E, but it doesn't include Python support for automatization, neither the automated PV/QV analysis nor the wind energy models.

What works
It installs, and then it successfully boots, yet it doesn't seem to recognize the hardware parport device (Activator)
What does not
I couldn't use the product since it's blocked by the unrecognizable parport device. We tried /dev/parport0 and /dev/lp0 linked to lpt1 (the latter actually disabling the GUI from showing up) and including registry entries such as the ones under Wine\VDM\ppdev.
Workarounds
What was not tested
USB keys or any type of non-physical keys or licenses.
