What works

everything, even sound (assuming you have pulseaudio and wine-pulse). videos work, the engine renders quite fast (i assume as fast as on windows, because even on the highest settings there was not a single time it didnt render smoothly)

What does not

oh, cd-protection doesnt work. there are enough nocd cracks flowing around, so thats not a real issue (for me)

multiplayer, anything after the third mission, sound with alsa, oss (it doesnt work at all with wine for me)

it really works incredible good, so i think platinum rating might be appropriate - who gives a shit if cd-protection doesnt work? most of us (have to) use it anyway. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
