The game seems to be running much better in general, the player no longer falling through the floor is a big step forward. I found the sound had broken in the menu brief and ingame. Switching to the OSS driver in winecfg fixed this. The game preforms much better than it did in the past, it used to be slow and choppy even on a fast machine. I was able to max out the detail at a high resolution and get very smooth performance.
