Installation from CD and application of 1.27 patch.
Character creation, saving, loading, normal gameplay.
Sound works using OSS output driver.
What does not
Multiplayer option gives "Failed to initialise" message.
Sound output using ALSA driver hangs game and suppresses redrawing of the window. (Could be system setup related, though)
Cutscenes randomly (i.e. inconsistently) lose A/V sync: video stops playing while audio keeps on rolling. After a while the video jumps ahead to sync with the audio again. Repeated runs of the intro video from the main menu gave different results each time: one major sync loss, one minor stutter, and one flawless playback, for instance.
What was not tested
The workaround listed in the comments to get multiplayer working was not tested.
No in-depth playthrough of the game: mission endings, world map, etc. might well be broken for all I know.
