Additional Comments
With wine-1.1.12 and a recent version of winetricks, what I did was: - run "winetricks gdiplus" - run "wine Quicken_Premier_2007.exe" - get updates when prompted during the Quicken install - install gecko when prompted during Quicken startup - perform the registration bypass hack I didn't seem to need the cabextract or msttcorefonts packages, or ies4linux. Some bank websites still don't work correctly, but one step update works in general, and I haven't found anything else yet that's broken once the install completes. NOTE: Some package(s) on Ubuntu (possibly from the universe or multiverse repository) cause the installation to fail completely with a "Crash" window that reports "Com Error". I haven't narrowed down the specific package(s) that cause this problem yet.

I took a shot and upgraded to the latest beta release of wine and Quicken stopped working getting the Com Err message.
Using winetricks I made sure I had the corefonts, fontfix, ActiveX plugin, Power Point Viewer 2003 and this got it working once again.
The only trouble I am having are the tabs and text in the buttons - I can't read them and/or the label is not present. I'll have to play around with the fonts installed by winetricks.
