What does not
library mode (crashes wmp11) play dvds (option doesn't appear) quiting (must kill the process later; also video doesn't stop playing (sound) on quit) video thumbnails on explorer minimize window (tray dialog question appears and cannot be closed)

Additional Comments
--------------------------------- To install: ------------- #winetricks gecko #(maybe not needed) winetricks gdiplus #Needed to start wmp11 winetricks native_oleaut32 #Needed for config/options and pop-up windows winetricks wmp10 #Needed to properly show main window #(Install wmp10 and let it open main window once) wineboot cabextract /path/to/WMP11-installer.exe -d $HOME/wmp11 cd $HOME/wmp11 wine wmfdist11.exe wine wmp11.exe wineboot winetricks vista #(Launch 1st, it will crash. Launch again and wait until real WMP11 window appears, it will crash again) winetricks winxp #(Launch, press Ctrl+2 quickly, close the window) #(Launch again, click on View -> 'Full mode') ----------------------------------- It crashes a lot, mp3 don't work; for easy testing do: ------------------ killall wmplayer.exe wine start wmplayer.exe (Ctrl+2, quit) wine start wmplayer.exe (Click on View -> 'Full mode') (when done, 'killall wmplayer.exe') --------------------------------------------------- On terminal, there's a lot of fixme:xrender:X11DRV_AlphaBlend Ignoring SourceConstantAlpha 1 for AC_SRC_ALPHA ---------------------------------- It's good to see WMP11 is working! Maybe some more winetricks will allow to browse the library, or playing internal codec files; I'll just keep trying more winetricks until I got it fully working.
