Internet play. When working, this should introduce a chat room to the game screen where a player can chat with other players and get help solving puzzles. This isn't a great loss as I don't think Internet play is still supported by Sierra.

Additional Comments

The game installer complains about memory during mandatory system tests and will not install Shivers 2 under Wine. To solve, install the game in Windows and copy the game directory into your Wine directory in Linux. In the game directory, edit the file "RESOURCE.WIN" to reflect the location of game directory (as Wine sees it) and the CD drive letter used by Wine. Still in the file, change the value of "maximized" to "FALSE" otherwise the game appears mostly off the side of the screen. I recommend running winecfg and, under the Graphics tab, setting Window Settings to emulate a virtual desktop, size 800x600 for the best experience with this game.
