What works

Connects fine, screen data appears normal. URL highlighting appears to hold to the URL.

Generally, the program is functional.

Read news appears to be functional.

Save to file appears to be functional.

Most options in the options screen appear to work as expected (Fonts being the one exception I found; see below).

What does not

Everything that did not work under wine .39 is still a problem under .40:

No text is visible in the lower input box, which makes it hard to type in commands. The cursor moves, and spelling errors are underlined in red, though all one can see is the underlining. This is far and away the most notable problem.

The Help system is unavailable - nothing happens when choosing the help options.

Clicking on a URL link does not link to a web browser window.

Changing the font appears to work, but the "sample" box in the font window appears black.

The "check version" function appears to be nonfunctional.

Additional Comments

The author of the program reported to me that it used to work fully in a previous version of wine. I don't have the resources for reversion testing at this time, but it is possible that this is a reversion somewhere along the chain.
