What works
Program installs and runs properly. It does batch recode files with available codecs.
What does not
You can't recode with codecs like Nero's or Microsoft's unless you are able to install them seperately (not tested). Apart from this, the program crashed when you load a large (4GB) matroska HD video file.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I did recode MPEG2 (VOB) to MPEG4 (DIVX) and I tried to recode MP3 to a REAL voice file (failed because I don't have the necessary codecs).

This application doesn't run for the first time in Wine 0.9.39 because "winebrowser URL" will hang forever. You can get it running howeverby creating an "prefs.xml" file in "/Wine Dir/drive_c/Program Files/MediaCoder" containing the following data (use kate or gedit):
