What works

All things I tested *work* although with glitches. Specifically the terrain editor, the object editor and the trigger editor.

Other things that really seem to work: changing preferences, setting map properties, and other small dialogs like these.

What does not

The first problem you'll notice is the main editor window, the terrain rendering is misplaced and the toolbar gets overdrawn, it is possible to make a new terrain and place units/etc. It is harder though since most of the times you have to guess what toolbar button you are clicking, for somebody with prior Worldeditor experience, it is possible.

It is too easy to make it crash: Either switch to another desktop and then switch again to worldeditor's desktop or you can also minimize worldeditor's window and restore it again, both cause crashes.

The trigger editor is glitchy, the custom text control does not allow you to insert line breaks, however it allows copy/paste so you can get rid of the problem by using an external editor and then pasting the changes.

The object editor got glitches of its own, it looks like the tree control sometimes doesn't redraw so you need to insist on clicks until the view is updated.

Sound in general doesn't work correctly it is choppy, for this reason the sound editor is not too useful , you could use it to create sound variables but without sound preview it is hard.

Certain operations are much slower than on windows, specifically initialization, map loading, opening the object editor or an object editor time for the first time, and many others.

Workarounds

What was not tested

*AI editor.
* Import manager (saving a map does let you keep imported file though)
* Using the editor for a prolonged time, the crash bug forbids you to multitask so I just prefer to close the editor whenever the small action I wanted to accomplish is done.

* GUI "triggers"

Additional Comments

Regardless of the bugs, I was able to alter plenty of maps and make a couple of test maps. But I wouldn't suggest it to anyone that doesn't require warcraft III map editing outside of windows as much as I do.
