BloodRayne 2

BloodRayne 2, developed by Terminal Reality, is a horror-themed third-person action video game. It does not follow on directly from where BloodRayne finished; instead, it takes place between sixty and seventy years later, in a contemporary(2000s) setting. This game could possibly be set in 2004, the year the game was released. (from Wikipedia entry) English DVD retail Version.

What does not

intro video(s), cutscenes (a couple of message boxes pop up, eventually the game starts up)

text is missing in the menu and in the whole game

audio is heavily crackling

highest graphical settings causes texture corruption (especially when reflections are on)

blood textures are flickering

Workarounds

Additional Comments

Tested with the digital distribution version from GoG.com, contains no DRM, there was no need a no-cd crack. Rated to Garbage because the missing text makes the game (almost) unplayable, there are severe audio issues too. Installing windows fonts via winetricks doesn't solve the missing text problem, because these are not truetype fonts (most likely rendered images taken from data files).
