Game runs flawlessly but no sound (disable sound at start up).
What does not
Sound. (Must disable sound at start for level to load.)
What was not tested
Played the game for about five minutes, but without sound, and everything worked.
Updated to newest wine, 1.3.13, and tested Tomb Raider games. Tested "The Wolf Whiplash," a custom, self-contained TR5 level from www.trle.net. The zip comes with both xptomb5.exe and PCTOMB5.EXE for playing either the original version, or with XP patch. Both .exe files seemed to work similarly. If sound is disabled in setup (as suggested by previous reviewer) then the level loads and plays normally. I could both save and load. Game play is same as running in Windows. But there is no sound. So I started again, and did NOT disable sound. Tested both primary sound and default options. The level starts, and there is sound. There is a long introductory sequence, first in churchyard, then various action scenes with Lara. Then I tried both "New Game" and "Load Game." When try to start the level itself, there is a screen and load bar. The load bar gets to about 25% and freezes. I tried waiting about two minutes to see if anything would happen, but no luck. With sound enabled, the playable level won't load. Without sound, everything works fine.
