Additional Comments

Tested on wine 1.0-rc5. It crashed randomly but I suspect that was related to music.

Music garbled & crashing
by Andrew Smart on Friday April 4th 2014, 2:49
If your game crashes within a minute or two, or the music is garbled, try using winetricks to use the native quartz dll. Or rebuild wine without the assertion (music will be garbled then stop but at least the game won't crash): bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31504#c5

Battles appeared to be way slow for me, until I disabled my desktop manager's display effects.
