What works
Opening an image file, converting it to text and saving it to a .doc or .rtf file works.
What does not
Installing doesn't work. I did the install in WindowsME and copied the folder "ABBYY ScanTo Office 1.0" (from the "Program Files" folder) to linux.
Directly scanning from the program, using TWAIN doesn't work.
Sending the result to e-mail doesn't work.
Sending the result directly to OpenOffice doesn't work.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I didn't test it with the newest wine.

Additional Comments
Tip: Change the settings, to make any doubtfull characters red (or an other color). Open the result in OpenOffice, so you will see the words that are not in the OpenOffice dictionary and the characters that are not fully recognised. If you still want to try to install it in wine, run the downloaded file "Scanto01TB.exe" in wine. It unpacks itself in the 'temp' directory. But it doesn't continue to install. So after unpacking, find the files and run 'setup.exe'. This seems to install the program, but it didn't install properly. The log file shows that a lot went wrong. So install it in Windows and make sure it runs before copying it to linux.
