What does not

• Direct ALSA access required. It doesn't work directly with PulseAudio or Pipewire

Workarounds

Use this ALSA configuration (/etc/asound.conf) in order to work alongside with PulseAudio or Pipewire

For Pipewire:

}

pcm.!default {
  type plug
  slave.pcm.type pipewire
}

For PulseAudio:

ctl.!default {
  type pulse
}

pcm.!default {
  type plug
  slave.pcm.type pulse
}

What was not tested

• Using multiple soundcards
• Interfacing with hardware mixer or turntables

• GPU: Intel
• Driver: open source

Additional Comments

• Comboboxes on Sound Setup does not render properly
• The interface and animation runs at below 30fps but highly responsive
