Must install IEs4Linux to get around Flash error
What does not
Starting the actual game. If I click "Start", I get the following error. This may only be because of my setup:
Client closing due to the sound driver error. Install or reinstall the sound driver. [errorCode: 3]
This output also shows up in the terminal:
err:wave:DSDB_MapBuffer Could not map sound device for direct access (Input/output error)
err:wave:DSDB_MapBuffer Please run winecfg, open "Audio" page and set
"Hardware Acceleration" to "Emulation".
What was not tested
The error I'm getting could only be related to my sound card. I'm trying to see if I can get around this at the moment. If someone could help with the errors I'm getting, that would be great.

First, you must follow this guide to install IEs4Linux so that the game patcher will work, provided by Vividd of Sword of the New World forums:
Now run the installer. Extract the zip archive you downloaded of the game, move to the directory and run the installation file:
Continue through the installer using all default options. Once finished, navigate to the Sword of the New World directory, and run Sword of the New World (not from the installer)
WINEPREFIX="/home/YOUR_USERNAME/.ies4linux/ie6" wine ge.exe
The patcher should load. Let the game download and install its patches. Then, you can click "Start" to start the game.
