What works

- Installing the game out of the box
- Patching the game with Patch 1.60 for Raven Shield
- Installing the addon Athena
- Patching the addon with Patch 1.10
- Starting the game with a nocd patch
- Graphic and sound works flawlessly

What does not

- Copy protection > nocd patch necessary
- Mouse is escaping the window > fixed with "MouseWarpOverride = force" option
- Updating via ingame update service
- Some slowdowns in the mission briefing menu

Game settings: - 1280x1024 resolution - Graphic options at maximum Wine settings: - window mode 1280x1024 Specs: - Ubuntu 8.04 - Kernel 2.6.24-26-generic - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16GHz - 4GB RAM - ATI HD4870 512MB (using official "ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series" driver Release 9.10) - Window manager: metacity After tweaking the game as described above, it becomes completely playable

If you have problems with Athena Sword installer (Raven Shield installation not detected) follow this pattern:

1. See Raven Shield 1.60 for information about known bugs and workarounds
2. Use clean wine dir (~/.wine)
   
3. Install Raven Shield from the CD
4. Install Athena Sword from the Expansion CD, start the installer directly (wine setup.exe)
   
5. Update Raven Shield to 1.60 and Athena Sword to 1.10
6. You can launch Athena Sword directly: wine RavenShield.exe mod=AthenaSword
