Additional Comments

Just an update to previous tests, with new Wine version, more tested hardware platforms(ATI and NVidia this time with both Intel and AMD CPU), and a few more details. Most other things are the same so I pasted same advice for making it run below :) Needs native d3dx9_36 DLL or will crash. Just copy it to the emulators directory. Then do an app specific override in winecfg. Do not use native xinput1_3 like some advised as it breaks the purupuru gamepad plugin, which is important for usb game controllers(hate playing on keyboards). Builtin is fine. In case of choppy sound or poor performance, run nice -n then a higher number plus the command. nice -n 19 works great on my few year old laptop that was plagued by horrible audio and choppiness. This emulator really likes to steal cpu cycles, obviously more than it needs as it runs very nice with the nice command. Some games are slow but most are full speed, but they may very well be on Windows (Have not a copy of Windows to test) as DC emulation is not yet perfect, but this emulator is a great choice for Linux users looking for a Dreamcast fix :)
