All playing features work.
What does not
Installation does not work (due to SafeDisc copy protection). It is necessary to install to a Windows system, and then copy the files from "...\Program Files\Jack" to your Linux machine (under $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/Program\ Files). Be sure that after copying everything is writeable!
What was not tested
Networked play (as a server - definitely works as a client)
Sound - My sound doesn't work in Linux & I haven't used sound in Jack under Windows either, so wouldn't know if it worked properly.
First tested against Wine 0.9.44
|Operating system||Test date||Wine version||Installs?||Runs?||Used|
|Show||Debian GNU/Linux 5.x "Lenny"||Jul 06 2010||1.0.1||No, but has workaround||Yes||Gold||Jarek|
|Current||Ubuntu 7.04 "Feisty" i386 (+ variants like Kubuntu)||Sep 16 2007||0.9.45.||No||Yes||Gold||an anonymous user|
Any I/O error causes the program to fail. I'm not yet certain if the same thing happens under Windows, making it a Jack bug, or whether there is a Wine problem. Specific instances:
