As the application does not use windows registry and keeps all its settings in INI file in the installation folder, it can be copied from windows (I did not manage to convince installation to work).
After being started, the application displays error box with text:
Runtime error 501 (249)
[OK]
After this box is closed, the application finishes.

CA 8.1 is also available in download version. I haven't tested it, but considering it applies extra copy protection techniques, I would be even more pessimistic.
