The 3DMark 2005 installer runs fine and finishes error-free. However, because the system information components are not registered properly, the benchmark has to be run without systeminfo support.
Alternatively, this can be fixed also with the installation of the newer 3DMark 2006 version. After that, the 3DMark 2005 benchmark starts to work normally. (It looks that the "system information component" of 3Dmark06 is also functional in 3Dmark05.)

On systems with opensource Gallium drivers and no Vulkan support: Gallium Nine will bring even more additional performance which is absolutely comparable to DX9VK.
