This version supports saving different profiles that can be switched to via the joystick on the fly. It supports emulating the Joystick to "act" as a mouse / keyboard and move your mouse to click windows and perform keyboard operations such as [CTRL+C], [Alt+Space+X], [Alt+F4], and so forth. The software was developed a while ago, and is available in 2 language interfaces:

What works

When running it as:

wine joytokey.exe

It successfully loads my Joystick, saved profiles (which include stored events for Mouse movement, and keyboard shortcuts). The mouse can be moved with my analog or directional pad successfully! Thus, "Movement" is fully functional.

What does not

It does not register the left click/right click/keyboard shortcut events. For example, if in the application I set Button #1 to do "Ctrl + C", and I press that button, it does not register this keyboard event in the window manager. Wine does recognize the gamepad, and does allow me to move the mouse, but will not register any mouse or keyboard events.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Havent tested this in a KDE environment fully. I tested it using Ubuntu, Fedora Core, and Red Hat - all of which had Gnome as the window manager, and same results.
