What works
Game Installs through steam fine, once steam was setup correctly (see steam howto's). Sound worked flawlessly, video was choppy but mainly due to my slow computer.
What does not
The 2d Icons and images sometimes do not show up properly, instead showing up as squares of color. Also font was distored and almost imposible to read at times.
Workarounds
What was not tested
different computer/graphics card. Mine is a Gforce 440go.
Hardware tested

The easiest way to do so, is using winetricks:

If you have problems with completely corrupted textures the problem might be that your systems lacks a library that is used for texture compression in Dawn of War.
Under Debian based system install the package "libtxc-dxtn-s2tc0" and try again.
