What works

Installing using the instructions

menu

playing- game is very stable: no freezes or quits and it's fast: with all graphics settings set to low, I get decent fps

What does not

there are several graphical issues:

problem with shader stuff causes wierd overlays in the view and I see almost no objects. Setting the shader level to high reduces these effects (see screenshots). But that causes extreme low fps- at least on my system (8600gt). although being a bit overbright, it looks promising then

To get the game to start, make sure the following registry key is set:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\UseGLSL = enabled

In winecfg, set the Windows version to “Windows XP”, and in the audio tab, “Hardware Acceleration” to “Emulation” and check “Driver Emulation”.

You will need to put d3dx9_34.dll and xinput1_3.dll in ${WINEPREFIX}/drive_c/windows/system32/.
