What works
Adventure mode (a bit sluggish), fortress mode. Everything tested worked fine.
What does not
Sound sputters during world creation. Also, I recommend setting the maximum framerate in init.txt to something like 25 in fortress mode (otherwise it runs very quickly in the early game).
