Game works in video (without intro movies and medium quality), sound and input Tested on: Wine 1.5.15, Wine Ver Default XP, CDEmu for drive installs (Daemon Tools on Linux), AMD A4 3300 2.5Ghz, ATI Radeon HD6410D 512MB Shared Memory, 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1333, ATI Catalyst 12.9 Beta aka 9.00, Linux Mint 13 Maya Mate Desktop 32 Bit Kernel 3.20.32.29 PAE

HOW TO install PES 2008 on the 11/07/2008 (#2)

Config wine 1.1.1 on ubuntu hardy

Change since #1:

- No directx install (it can break wine)
- No need to erase video
- No need dll replacemement in wine config
- No need to put xinput by default

• 1) Install the game directy from the dvd or from a copy on your hard disk
  

  note : - let the default option in the installer
  - Be patient at the end of the install witch take longtime

• 2) Replace the exe with the one find here (take the vitality one)
  
  
• 3) in your "/home/yourname/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32"  copy dll found here http://www.dll-download-system.com/dlls/d3dx9_30.zip  & here http://www.dll-download-system.com/docman/d-dlls-not-system-/d3dx9-36.dll/download.html
  
  
• 4) Configure wine to "windows xp", using ALSA codec only
  
  
• 5) Launch the game

Limitation : at this time :

• No carreer
• No save
• game is slow but it's the 1.0 version anyway
  
• crash on exit, if you want to play again you may have to restart your xserver
• no gamepad with d-input
• game update don't work for me :(
  

TIP: You can play with your gamepad using Qjoypad or Rejoystick to emulate keybord, it works fine for me
then put option to xinput
