What works

Everything works.  The menu is sits in the top-left of the screen (probably 640x480 if I had to guess) rather than centered or scaled; the game itself ran full-screen though.

What does not

Just like everyone else with wine I had to use "wine LEGORacers.exe -novideo" for the game to start.  Of course, in modern Windows even DX9 is not a given, let alone DX6.1, so I can't say if this is a wine-specific workaround or needed in Windows too.

Workarounds

Start the game with "-novideo" flag, "wine LEGORacers.exe -novideo".

Additional Comments

I have a boxed copy.  On install, I chose "no" to both the "DirectMEDIA" and "DirectX 6.1" installers it asks about at the end. (I figured I'd install them later if I needed them and I didn't have to.)

The box says "3D Accelerator Card Required", but in the video options the only choice is "DirectDraw HAL" which as far as I know is 2D.  But it looks good, it's smooth, and low CPU usage; I would have guessed it was using Direct3D if I hadn't seen that in the Video options.

I'd call it platinum if it didn't need "-novideo" and possibly if the menu were centered.
