What works

Everything works that is not part of the Platinum version. I was really stunned at how great it actually works.

What does not

Nothing that I have seen.

What was not tested

The features that are not part of this version, of course.

Someone should really try out the Platinum version - would surprise me (positively) if the Wine team has managed to work out the SCSI writing layer.

Additional Comments

Without doubt the best dvd-ripping experience I have had on Linux. No free (as in speech) app that I have tried (dvd::rip, k9copy, ...) comes even close this easy and bugfree jewel. Actually it really does not have a rival in the Linux world since cracks for most new copy protection schemes have not found their way to any open implementations yet. Once you have ripped the dvd to disk you can continue with whatever app you prefer from there on to shrink, transcode, or burn. An essential app for everyone that cares about their precious, but fragile, dvds.
