What works
Well... with Nvidia drivers 195.36.08 almost everything seems to work:
-graphics are perfect with both T&L Enabled(seems that at least for Nvidia - latest driver fixed flickering problem...) and disabled
-sound seems ok
-controls are good
-performance are average, about 25-40% slower then on Windows, if we disable "Fog emulation" during wine compilation it seems to gain few extra frames.
Single player seems fully playable.
Multiplayer seems to work with "Sockets"
What does not
MultiPlayer with DirectPlay most people use sockets anyway but still, this is a bug.

What was not tested
Many things were not tested - however, Flashpoint is HUGE and testing all missions is simply impossible.

Additional Comments
Note1: There are many versions of this game - for example, in Poland you could buy Operation Flashpoint Resistance or Operation Flashpoint Platinum, however this games, after patched to version 1.96 are the same - there may be some minor differences, in the installer, for example but game is the same. So this test should apply to all "Flashpoints" as long as they are patched with latest patch (1.96). Note2: I didn't install game, because I already had it on disk, however - according to other test data - game should install fine. Note3: Tested with: MSI VR630 with Nvidia GF9100M (IGP) I rated it GOLD, but it is very close to PLATINUM now. :)

Install graphic card drivers, with native OpenGL. Do not enable TwinView, or dual screen.
On 64-bit systems, the 32-bit graphic driver libs need to be installed too, other wise the game wont start, complaining about missing DirectX.
Copy all files from a windows installation, as they are, to the wine drive.
(Contents of C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint)
Save your ID from a windows registry in a .reg file, with these two keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint]
"MAIN"="C:\\Program Files\\Codemasters\\OperationFlashpoint"
"KEY"=hex:aa,ab,ac,ad,ae,af,ba,bc,bd,be,bf,ca,cb,cd,ce
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint]
"Player Name"="Your Name"
Apply these registry settings in your Wine instance. Verify them, as you may need to set these manually within the regedit of wine.
Start the game with "wine FLASHPOINTBETA.EXE -nosplash [-mod=@YourMod] .."
Once the game started, start a wine task manager with: "wine taskmgr" and set the CPU affinity for the flashpoint process to a single CPU. Other wise there will be massive lag in multiplayer after a few minutes.
