What works

Simulation works, now faster that half-year ago.

What does not

Still problems with selecting components:

choosing from listbox with keyboard works, with mouse not.

After component is selected, none of texts are drawn inside of it.

File open dialog is too large and cannot be resized ("fixme:commdlg:GetFileName95 Flags 0x00800000 not yet implemented" in console)

Workarounds

What was not tested

Additional Comments

Strange behaviour with toolbars (top left window corner doesn't redraw), tons of "err:listview:LISTVIEW_WindowProc unknown msg 060e wp=00000000 lp=00000000" are in console

HowTo / Notes

[ BUG FIX ] 37255 Proteus 8 Access violation in module 'VGDVC.DLL'

ⴰⵣⵓⵍ,

Error : Proteus 8 Access violation in module 'VGDVC.DLL'

Workaround :

go to winetricks, if you don't have it, you can install it :

sudo aptitude install winetricks

or

sudo apt-get install winetricks

then open the GUI, either from the menu or a console :

winetricks --gui

then check, "Select the default wineprefix" and press OK.

then check, "Run regedit" and press OK again.

Now go to :

-> HKEY_CURRENT_USER
 -> Software
   -> Labcenter Electronics
     -> Proteus 8 Professional

You should have the key "Default Graphics Mode" set to some particular integer like 3 or 2.

Change that to 1 by clicking on it twice and entering the number 1.

And you're done, this fix have been proven to work for Proteus 8x under Wine 1.8.7 under Debian Stretch. And should also work for other versions.

That was bloody easy wasn't it.
