Installation of the software is only possible after installing Internet Explorer 6 under Wine (I personally installed inside the same "bottle" under Crossover 6 for Mac OS X). Installation is functional, and the software starts.
What does not
When configuring the client, make sure to use the IP of the TV Server machine, not it's network name (it will not work otherwise). After starting the client, enter your username and password, and you will see the following error:
Error 1001 (ITvRemoteObjectImpl::Initialize: fails - Failed to ping server "192.168.3.158"; timeout:5000ms - 0x80004005) has occured. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Do you want to launch the Problem Report Wizard now and report this error?

Here's what TVInfo.txt had to say about it (mostly the same thing):
[Error - 11/20/2007 11:31:05.318] TVClient (C:\Program Files\TeleVantage\Client\TVClient): 6.10.2834 Windows: Windows 98 (4.10.67766446 A) Computer: osx10 Server: 192.168.3.158 Instance: Address: 03 Phone Type: 3 Login Name: Station 03 Database: TVDB on 192.168.3.158 Instance: 13
Description: ITvRemoteObjectImpl::Initialize: fails - Failed to ping server "192.168.3.158"; timeout:5000ms - 0x80004005
What was not tested
Functionality of the software itself is not yet available since it cannot logon with the server.
This might be a Wine issue in regards to network communication, but I do not currently have the technical knowledge to know if it is.
