needs a symbolic link that is created with ln -s /dev/ttyUSB0 ~/.wine/dosdevices/com1 This requires the module garmin_gps to be loaded (check that it is not blacklisted in /etc/modprobe.conf, which might be the case in newer Ubuntu releases). Communication is done via COM1 even if the device is plugged in USB. Maybe there is a nicer way, I cannot believe that wine does not support USB.
