What works

Most common functions work smoothly - birth chart creation, reports, transits

What does not

Like already reported, the user manual is not accessible by the menu, nor by hitting F1. It requires Acrobat Reader. However the manual is accessible in the program main directory (usually c:\pl61)

Printing doesn't work very well. The birth chart (the actual chart with lagna and bhava) is not rendered properly on my HP Laserjet. The work around is the Copy screen to clipboard in the file menu.

Some minor graphic glitches occurs in the animated transit chart. They don't compromise the usability of the program - and it may just be my graphic card

Workarounds

What was not tested

I didn't check the 100s of possible reports.
I didn't compare the chart generated with one generated by a version running on a windows box. I assume the underlying operating system doesn't influence the result of precise calculations.

Additional Comments

This is a 16 bit application. I wasn't able to run in on windows vista 64. I am very happy the way it works on Wine. I run it for my personal use, so the few issues I found don't bother me at all. It might be a different story if you are a professional astrologer. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
