What works

Everything until you select "new game" and choose a skill level. Same error as already described for Hurricane 1.0.0.3/Gentoo linux.

What does not

Game hangs while starting a "new game". Same error as already described for Hurricane 1.0.0.3/Gentoo linux. Status bar starts with 100% and freezes.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Everything works as expected, just this crash that occuris in 100% of all cases. Game works very well, because there is another secret way to enter the levels: You can start the tutorial level, "wheel-jump" to the left and reach a secret "super mario style" level selector. Here, the levels load without problems, and you can enjoy this great game :-)

Additional Comments

To bypass the hang of the game at starting of the real game, you can go to a secret level. You can start the tutorial level, "wheel-jump" to the left and reach a secret "super mario style" level selector. thanks to Florian Evers . If you have difficulty, you can see a video (turrican + warpzone for the word) on internet.
