The gameplay is rather basic, but the graphics are very comparable to other games from around 2001.

This is a real time strategy game that incorporates that idea of technological advancement in the same vein of the Age of Empires series. It has much cooler graphics.

You steal cars, drive around, kill people (gang members included), do missions for gangs, make money ... It's good fun if you like that sort of thing.

The game perpetuates Blizzard's high reputation in real-time strategy games. You cut down trees, mine for gold, and build buildings so that you can train troops. It is designed with a focus on heroes; characters with special abilities that are tougher than the average unit. It is no longer limited to Orcs and Humans. Now there are also Night-Elves and the Undead. Each race has unique units and strategies.

Warcraft III uses a full 3D engine and the graphics certainly live up to Blizzard's reputation. The cinematics have an uncanny realism. Although the characters still look a little cartoony, their expressions and movements are very organic, and the rest of the cinematics could possibly be mistaken for film footage.
