Galactic Civilizations is a space based, turn-based strategy game in which you are in control of humanity's destiny. GalCiv (for short) is developed by Stardock Entertainment ,published by Strategy First, and has received Editor's Choice awards from Computer Gaming World and Computer Games Magazine. This is really a great roleplaying game putting more emphasis on story and a vivid world than a long list of stats and numbers.

In Gothic 2, the barrier has fallen and escaped prisoners have been flooding through the pass to Khorinis, endangering the city that has the same name as the island it stands on: Khorinis. The nameless hero has been saved by Xardas the Necromancer from the ruins of the Sleeper. Barely alive, he must gather his strength and defeat the dragons. The colony was left without workers, forcing the king to send an expedition into the mine-valley known from Gothic 1 to get the ore. The valley is overrun by Orcs who took over the lands after the humans left and are besieging the paladins in the Old Camp. The Old Camp has been burned down by dragons and orcs and only the inner castle remains. A large wall has been erected to the west side of the valley, making the Swamp Camp inaccessible. The New Camp has been abandoned also and is covered in snow for some strange reason.

WWII era shooter using a modified Quake III engine. A fantastic game. This game should have the same compatability as Quake III itself. Look at that record for additional help.

The seven cultures you can choose to command are the Japanese, Chinese, Mayans, Persians, Vikings, Greeks, and Normans. Each culture has its own weapons and fighting styles. Each culture can also summon its own "greater being", each having different powers.

Fryhtans are fictional beasts that hoard treasure and hold "scrolls of power", objects that enable you to summon greater beings. They are quite powerful, and have been known to offensively attack kingdoms.

Supreme Commander, abbreviated as SupCom, is a real-time strategy computer game designed by Chris Taylor and developed by his company, Gas Powered Games. The game is considered to be the spiritual successor to Taylor's 1997 game, Total Annihilation. First announced in the August 2005 edition of PC Gamer magazine, the game was released on February 16, 2007 in Europe and February 20, 2007 in North America. A standalone expansion, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, was released on November 6 of the same year.

Supreme Commander is focused on using a giant bipedal mech called an Armoured Command Unit (or ACU) to build a base, then upgrading units to reach higher technology tiers, and conquering opponents. The player can command one of three nations: the Aeon Illuminate, the Cybran Nation, or the United Earth Federation. Supreme Commander was highly anticipated in pre-release previews, and was received well by critics, with a Metacritic average of 86 out of 100.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is an action-adventure stealth game published by Ubisoft.

Splinter Cell is a stealth-action game that puts you in the roll of Sam Fisher, who happens to be an ex-US Navy SEAL as well as an ex-CIA-agent. As you find out in the original title, Sam now works for sub-agency of the NSA known as "Third Echelon". The task of "Third Echelon" is to do whatever it takes in order to protect the county, this task is known as the "Fifth Freedom."

It is designed with a focus on heroes; characters with special abilities that are tougher than the average unit. It is no longer limited to Orcs and Humans. Now there are also Night-Elves and the Undead. Each race has unique units and strategies.

Warcraft III uses a full 3D engine and the graphics certainly live up to Blizzard's reputation. The cinematics have an uncanny realism. Although the characters still look a little cartoony, their expressions and movements are very organic, and the rest of the cinematics could possibly be mistaken for film footage.
